Former President Goodluck Jonathan, has refuted media reports which says plans have been concluded for him to join the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Earlier today, there was a report that Jonathan has indicated interest to join the ruling party and dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under which he served as the president
The report fuelled rumours that the former leader may have plans of contesting for the country’s top seat again in 2023.
In his reaction, Jonathan’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, said the report was fake news.
“The report is fake news. If he defects, it would be announced through the proper channels,” Eze said.
He maintained that his boss had not moved or considered moving to the ruling party.
“This is a man that’s very busy with other things”, he added
