Tension as DSS arrests, whisks away Sowore

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly arrested the convener of #RevolutionNow Protests and Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore.

It was gathered that Sowore was picked up at his apartment in the early hours of today, Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Sowore, a pro-democracy activist, posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25 a.m. with an eyewitness confirming that his phone was forcefully taken from him, his outfit, Sahara Reporters reported.

The tweet read, “DSS invades Sowore’s”.

Sowore also tweeted, confirming his phone must have been seized while trying to raise the alarm about his arrest.
