The 21-year-old has struggled to make an impact since his £36.5million move to Camp Nou

Tottenham are hoping to complete a loan deal to bring in Barcelona winger Malcom this month, according to reports.

Spurs’ failure to sign a player throughout the summer appears to be backfiring on them now as their growing injury crisis deepens, with Harry Kane the latest attacker to be ruled out.

And the north Londoners have reportedly decided to move for the Brazilian, according to Sport.

Malcom has struggled at Barcelona

Barcelona are ready to cash in on the 21-year-old who joined for £36.5million from Bordeaux last July, but has failed to make the desired impact with just 10 appearances to his name this season.

It is claimed talks have already started between the two clubs over Malcom’s move to England, with Spurs hoping to sign him on loan with a compulsory purchase option.

Harry Kane’s injury has left Spurs in a worrying position

In an attempt to sign Willian from Chelsea, Barcelona offered Malcom along with £50million, but this approach was rejected by the Blues.

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has emerged as a shock option for Spurs who have held a ‘top level meeting‘ to discuss the absence of Kane as the club bid to maintain their push for a Champions League spot.

Talismanic striker Kane has been sidelined until early March, Heung-Min Son is away on international duty, Lucas Moura and Victor Wanyama both have knee problems and Eric Dier has missed the last five weeks after surgery on his appendix.

Yesterday, Spurs were hit with more bad news to worsen their injury crisis, after it was revealed Moussa Sissoko is to be ruled out for at least a month with a groin strain.
