Vice President Yemi Osinbajo On his way to Ekiti last week, ran into young people protesting a land dispute between the Gbayi people and the Army.
The VP however calm the situation from escalating by addressing the leaders on the angry youths assuring them that he will address the issue.
In respect to his promise, Yesterday, the VP met with a delegation of the Gbayi leaders, officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Senator representing the FCT in the National Assembly, Sen. Philip Aduda to discuss the disputed land that covers over 7,000 hectares cutting across Gwagwa, Idu, Zuba and Giri communities in the Federal Capital Territory.
The VP assured the that They have the Federal Government’s committment and will to adopt all necessary measures that will lead to the amicable and just resolution of the land dispute between indigenous people of Abuja and the Nigerian Army.
