NYSC Lagos Gets ICT Hub From Sidmach Technologies

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim has commissioned the ICT Hub donated to the scheme in Lagos State by Sidmach Technologies.

Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim in his address during the official commissioning of the hub at the NYSC State Secretariat, Surulere, extolled the contributions of Sidmach Technologies as integral to the success story of the NYSC transition from analogue to digital operations since 2012.

The Director-General who was represented by the Director of ICT NYSC, Mrs Christy Uba said, ‘it is imperative to inform this gathering that the collaboration between NYSC and Sidmach Technologies has continued to witness transformations and innovations through the use of ICT and has attracted the endorsement of relevant bodies as the scheme was conferred with the best MDA in the innovative application of ICT solutions at the 2016 e-Governance award ceremony organized by NITDA/Nihilent. Once again, I want to express our deep gratitude to Sidmach Technologies for yet another uncommon gesture which we are commissioning today in Lagos.’

Earlier, the Director, Press and Public Relations, overseeing the affairs of NYSC in Lagos State, Mr Eddy Megwa, equally expressed his gratitude to the ICT firm for responding to the call of the scheme to ensure efficient service delivery from officials of the scheme and the tutelage of corps members in ICT through the provision of the ICT equipments. He pleaded with the firm to at intervals ensure the equipments are updated and technical supports are provided for the benefits of users. Mr Megwa promised that the facility will be put to good use with good maintenance culture.

While responding to the effusive appreciation to the ICT firm, the Managing Director of Sidmach Technologies, Mr Chijioke Eke, expressed his satisfaction toward the completion of the project stating that the initiative was only implemented as a result of the existing and robust relationship with the scheme and the love of the firm to providing ICT innovations to the Nigerian youths who are now operating in a technological driven age.

The facility provided by Sidmach Technologies is equipped with 20 HP All- in – One Desktop computers with 1 terabyte, 4gb Ram as its specification.

Also, as part of the programme, and as one of the landmarks of Mr Eddy Megwa in Lagos State, the Conference Room of the State Secretariat has also been commissioned today, launching it for official engagements of the Secretariat.
