Boxing legend Leon Spinks is fighting for his life in hospital with his family calling for prayers.
Spinks, 66, famously beat Muhammad Ali in 1978, winning the undisputed world heavyweight championship in only his eight professional fight in one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport. He went on to have 46 professional fights before retiring in 1995.
6Details on Spinks’ condition are unclear, but his wife, Brenda, asked for prayers on social media with TMZ Sports claiming he is fighting for his life in a Las Vegas hospital.
Brenda wrote on social media: “Reaching out to ask you to kindly send some prayers out for my Beautiful Husband Leon so that he may overcome the obstacles that have crossed his path.”
