A memo was sent to the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano by an unidentified commissioner which contains the accusations of the Professor treating himself of COVID-19 at his own private clinic.

According to the memo that was sent, it was understood that Prof Onochie Udemezie suspected that he has contracted the novel virus, decided to go for secret treatment without making it official, at his clinic located at Nnewi.

The letter also went on to explain that self-treatment of COVID-19 is very bad and not good for people around the patient.

It also explained that treating coronavirus in another medical center that is not specific for the virus is not a wise thought, that his private clinic where he tried to treat the novel virus is not a designated Center for the virus.

However, following what the memo sent to the state government, it was later understood that all the health workers working at the clinic center where the late victim treats the virus, were all under self-isolation till further notice.
