Former President Bill Clinton was admitted to the University of California Irvine Medical Center on Tuesday with a “non-COVID-related” infection.

President Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Ureña said in a statement.

Clinton was hospitalized after he had a urological infection that developed into sepsis, the aide said on Thursday.

Ureña said that the 75-year-old is “on the mend, in good spirits and is incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care.”

She said it was not considered to be acute.
