Heracles Almelo striker and Eredivisie highest goal scorer, Cyriel Dessers, has expressed desire to play for Nigeria should the national team coach Gernot Rohr hand him an invite. The 24-year-old forward, who was born in Belgium by a father of Nigerian root, has scored a remarkable 13 goals in 16 games in the new season so far. He was on target last weekend for Heracles Almelo against Ado Den Hagg with a brace as his side thrashed their opponents 4-0.
Dessers is eligible to play for Belgium but an offer from Gernot Rohr can make the stellar star dump the European nation for Nigeria.
The Heracles star, who admitted he has not been to Nigeria due the political situation, has now sent a message to the national team head coach to hand him the chance of donning the green jersey.
