The Supreme Court of Nigeria has unveiled the panel to sit on the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
PDP announced this on its official Facebook page on Wednesday.
The appointed judges are:
- Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Tanko Mohammad
- Bode Rhodes-Vivour
- Amiru Sanusi
- Uwani Abaji
- Ejembi Eko
- John Inyang Okoro
- Olukayode Ariwoola
Meanwhile, Justice Mohammad, the CJN on Wednesday led five other Justices of the Supreme Court to hear about six appeals in the case filed by the PDP and Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the Feb. 23 poll.
At the opening of proceedings, the apex court stood down Atiku’s appeal for 15 mins to enable parties agree on whether or not to consolidate all the appeals.
The Court however, resumed sitting after all the counsels agreed to a consolidation of all the appeals.
