The long serving president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has been declared as the winner of January 14th presidential election. This convoluted victory means that he has extended his 35 years rule to another five years.
The 76-year-old won 58.6.% of the vote while his nearest rival Robert Kyagulanyi, known by his stage name Bobi Wine, took 34.8%, the election commission said.
Though, Bobi Wine a member of the Ugandan Parliament and main opposition in the election has raised alarm over what he described as connivance between the president and chairman of the electoral commission to rig him out.
Even before the declaration of the final result, Wine had rejected the entire electoral citing irregularities and political interference by the incumbent.
