President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo today received a jab of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at the presidential villa.
The vaccine was administered on Buhari by Suhayb Sanusi Rafindadi, the president’s personal doctor , while the vice-president’s shot was also administered by Nicolas Audiferren, his personal physician.
On Friday, Nigeria started its COVID-19 vaccination with trained health workers in Abuja.
The first jab of the vaccine was administered to Cyprian Ngong, a medical doctor at the National Hospital, Abuja.
Faisal Shuaib, chief executive officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), administered the dosage.
