A 26-year-old Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly admitted raping a three-year-old and infecting her with STDs, court documents show.
The toddler contracted chlamydia and gonorrhea after being attacked by Drevon Alexander Perkins in Houston in January, prosecutors say.
The victim’s mother took her to a hospital after noticing discharge in her diaper, according to court records, seen by the Houston Chronicle.
A doctor diagnosed the child with two sexually transmitted diseases, which sparked a police investigation.
During a polygraph test, Perkins allegedly admitted to raping the girl while high on drugs.
He reportedly said he attacked the child while her mother was at work. Records also show that Perkins has the same STDs the girl contracted.
Perkins is facing a charge of super aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
