Chelsea FC are hoping to strike a deal with AC Milan to sign Andre Silva, but the Blues need Alvaro Morata to move to Sevilla to land the Portuguese forward, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that Chelsea FC are targeting the Portugal striker, who is on loan at Sevilla for the 2018-19 La Liga season from Italian giants AC Milan.

The story says that Chelsea FC will not be able to sign Silva unless Sevilla are able to land a replacement.

To solve that problem, the same article states that the Blues are hoping that Morata will move to Sevilla on loan to replace Silva following an inconsistent start to the Premier League season for the Chelsea FC striker.

According to the same story, the out-of-form Chelsea FC striker would be open to a return to Spain following a mixed spell so far at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri is “desperate” to bolster his squad this month as he eyes a top four finish, according to the same report.

Silva moved to AC Milan in a €38m deal from FC Porto in the 2017 summer transfer window after the Portugal international netted 21 times in 44 games in the 2016-17 season.

Chelsea FC are in fourth place in the Premier League table and three points ahead of Arsenal in the race to secure a Champions League spot.

Morata has scored five times in 16 games in the Premier League but the Spain international has struggled to produce consistent form in recent months.

Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last term.
